UFC welterweight Jesse Taylor suspended one year by USADA

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight bruiser Jesse Taylor finally got his long-awaited shot at redemption, courtesy of his winning performance at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 25 Finale back in July.

Then promptly threw it all away.

“JT Money” flunked his pre-fight drug test for UFC Fight Night 121, which returned a positive result for the anti-estrogen agent clomiphene, resulting in a one-year suspension from United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), retroactive to Sept. 13.

Taylor (31-15) was expected to fight surging welterweight prospect Belal Muhammed on the upcoming FOX Sports 1 fight card taking place on Nov. 19, 2017 inside Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

The results were not contested, according to the official USADA website.

Muhammad will move on to fight Tim Means, who is no stranger to USADA, as part of next month’s event “Down Under.” To see the current UFC Fight Night 121 fight card and line up click here.
