Al Iaquinta vs. Paul Felder added to UFC 218 in Detroit

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Iaquinta vs Sanchez Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The red hot Al Iaquinta will return to action at UFC 218 on Dec. 2 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich., when he takes on talented lightweight striker Paul Felder, per a recent report by Detroit Free Press (later confirmed by MMA Fighting).

Iaquinta, 30, extended his current win streak to five after quickly knocking out veteran Diego Sanchez back at UFC Fight Night 108. The New York native will be making just his second appearance since April 2015, but could make his way into the top 10 at 155 pounds with an impressive win over “Irish Dragon.”

Felder, 33, is coming off a sensational first-round knockout over Stevie Ray back at UFC Fight Night 113. The Karate expert has experienced an up-and-down journey since entering the promotion back in 2014, but is looking better than ever after scoring consecutive knockout finishes and earning two Performance of the Night bonuses. Felder has struggled in the past when jumping up in competition so his bout opposite “Raging” will be a telling test.

UFC 218 will be headlined by a featherweight title fight pitting current 145-pound champion Max Holloway against two-time divisional title challenger Frankie Edgar.
