The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight division will roll on in 2017 as top contenders Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson do battle at UFC Fight Night 108 on Mar. 18 from inside The O2 Arena in London, England, per a recent report by FloCombat. While a headlining bout has yet to be announced, this 205-pound scrap figures to work its way into the co-main event slot.
Manuwa, 36, is coming off a dynamic knockout finish over Ovince Saint Preux back at UFC 204. He hasn't won back-to-back UFC fights since breaking onto the scene with a 3-0 record from 2012-2013, but he remains a true dark horse contender in 2017. He will enjoy a hometown advantage as he looks to become the second fighter to stop "Beastin 25/8" inside of the Octagon.
Anderson, 27, has been a work in progress since winning the nineteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. After securing a TKO victory over veteran Sean O'Connell back at UFC Fight Night 102, he'll look to lock down the biggest victory of his young career when he matches up against the punching power of "Poster Boy."
