While Amanda Nunes may be Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) starlet at the moment, Cat Zingano is not feeling "The Lioness" one bit.
Especially since the women’s Bantamweight champion has been so "disrespectful and ungrateful" following her huge win over Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 on Dec. 30, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada (highlights).
"Alpha" took Nunes to task via Twitter:
I'm not petitioning a rematch yet @Amanda_Leoa I'll earn it. You're disrespectful of @RondaRousey & I detest you being ungrateful @ufc
— Alpha Cat Zingano (@CatZingano) January 5, 2017
Indeed, Amanda hasn’t been shy in rubbing it in after defeating arguably one of the best women to ever compete in the sport in just 48 seconds. Then again, Rousey hasn’t exactly always been a gracious winner, either.
Nevertheless, Cat — who was recently blocked by Nunes on social media — is eying a potential rematch against the Brazilian bomber down the road, as she is the last women to defeat the current champion, taking her out at UFC 178 via technical knockout back in 2014.
As it stands, the winner of the upcoming bout between Julianna Pena and Valentina Shevchenko is the top candidate to challenge Nunes next. As for Zingano, she’ll have to make up a lot of ground if she wants a crack at Nunes, as she is currently on a two-fight skid.
