British Chainsaw Massacre?
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Michael Bisping recently went under the knife to tidy up some nagging knee issues keeping him from making his latest and greatest title defense.
The expected timeline for return is May, and waiting for him will be top middleweight contender Yoel Romero. Lest mixed martial arts (MMA) fans forget about their 185-pound feud, both “The Count” and “Soldier of God” have been keeping themselves in the headlines with some back-and-forth banter.
In the meantime, Chris Weidman and Gegard Mousasi will hook ‘em up for a spot in the division title chase (details), while Luke Rockhold patches himself up from injury and Ronaldo Souza tries to stay relevant with an upcoming showdown against Tim Boetsch.
Lots of moving parts to the middleweight machine and the top five (see it here) could look entirely different by the end of the year.
