UFC on FOX 23: Jorge Masvidal is going to 'slap the hoe' out of Donald Cerrone in Denver

Esther Lin/MMA Fighting

Donald Cerrone got on Jorge Masvidal’s bad side, and he didn’t even know it.

That’s according to "Gambred," who says his disdain for "Cowboy" and his urge to fight him so bad stems from the fact that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) took a couple of fights away from him in order to give them to Cerrone.

"The reason why it’s personal for me and why I want to hurt this dude is because you took away two signed bouts from me," he told UFC Unfiltered via FOX Sports. "Two guys that were ranked opponents, you took them away from me. I signed a bout agreement and my counter partner signed a bout agreement and said they gave the fight to Cowboy which is fucking mind-blowing to me. I’m near to the fight and both sides, the UFC had done the little poster that they do, put them out there. Weeks before the fight materialized they got snatched up and gave it to him so that’s why I really want to hurt him because he took money from my table you know," he said.

Masvidal was lined up to face Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 98 last September, however, Kelvin was pulled from the event and set up to fight "Cowboy" at UFC 205, though the bout never saw the light of day since Kelvin failed to make weight.

As for the other opponent that was taken from Masvidal and given to Cerrone, "Gamebred" didn't reveal who. And despite the fact that Donald didn’t have anything to do with the changes, Masvidal says someone has to pay for losing out on a couple of paydays, and that someone his Donald.

"I want to hurt him on a personal level," he continued. "Not because that as a person I think he’s this or that, but just for that reason alone," he added. "I feel like he’s wronged me and he doesn’t even know it, he probably had nothing to do with it but it doesn’t matter somebody has to pay with interest for what was done."

Masvidal is coming off a first-round technical knockout win over Jake Ellenberger and has won two straight, while Cerrone has now won four straight since moving up to 170-pounds. And come fight night, there’s bound to be a whole lot of face-punching.

And while Cerrone is already eying his next move after UFC on FOX 23, Masvidal says he knows Donald isn't overlooking him, and come fight night, he will slap "the hoe out of him."

"He can talk all he wants, but when I look at his eyes, I see the bitch in him. I see the hoe in him. He can try to to sell a fight to whoever he wants, but he is not looking past me, he is unsure of himself. When we go to the weigh-ins, look at his body language and you will see the how in him starting to come out," he said. "I think he's a hoe and I am going to slap the hoe out of him when we get in the cage and start throwing blows."
