Bellator 170: Rory MacDonald responds to Paul Daley’s callout, amused by KO threats

Esther Lin/MMA Fighting

After knocking out Brennan Ward via flying knee at last night’s (Sat., Jan. 21, 2017) Bellator 170 event in Los Angeles, California (video replay here), Paul Daley proceeded to call out the company’s newly-acquired free agent, Rory MacDonald.

Not only that, he predicted he would knock out the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) standout. "Red King" was not amused, as he took to Twitter to respond to "Semtex’s" callout in rather hilarious fashion.

MacDonald has yet to be put to sleep in his mixed martial arts (MMA) career, despite going up against some of the hardest hitters the division has to offer, such as Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit, and Stephen Thompson, though he was stopped via strikes by "The Natural Born Killer" and "Ruthless," but didn’t go out cold.

Whether or not that’s the type of KO win Daley is predicting is another story. That said, "Semtex" does have the skills and power to accomplish the feat, as evidenced by his masterful finish over Ward.
