Bellator 175: Rampage Jackson vs King Mo 2 fight set for March 31

Bellator MMA

Quinton Jackson will make his return to the Bellator MMA cage at Bellator 175 on Mar. 31 live on Spike TV as he takes on Muhammed Lawal in a heavyweight rematch, per an announcement made by the promotion earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 21, 2017) during the Spike TV broadcast for Bellator 170 from The Forum in Inglewood, California. The two fighters originally met at light heavyweight back at Bellator 120, which saw "Rampage" defeat "King Mo" via unanimous decision.

Jackson, 38, made his way back to the Bellator cage with a split-decision win over Satoshi Ishii this past June after a quick stop at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in a win over Fabio Maldonado. Since joining Bellator in 2013, "Rampage" has compiled a promotional record of 4-0, while finishing two of those via first-round knockout.  The ferocious veteran still packs a major punch and may very well work his way towards a title shot in 2017.

Lawal, 36, is coming off a devastating knockout loss (watch here) to Mirko Cro Cop at RIZIN World Grand Prix 2016 this past December. After his initial meeting with Jackson back in 2014, "King Mo" racked off four-straight victories inside of the Bellator cage before losing to current light heavyweight champion Phil Davis at Bellator 154.

Many suspected that Jackson may be matched up against Davis for his first Bellator title shot, but apparently the promotion has different plans for the aging knockout artist.
