UFC 208 in Brooklyn is fast approaching, and the event definitely got a boost with the late addition of Anderson 'The Spider' Silva versus Derek Brunson. While not as exciting an announcement as that, we now also have all the details from the New York State Athletic Commission on who will referee and judge the fights on February 11th.

Referees Dan Miragliotta, Todd Anderson, Kevin MacDonald and Yves Lavigne will be the third person in the Octagon, while Eric Colon, Doug Crosby, Derek Cleary, Sal D’Amato, Chris Lee and Jeff Mullen will serve as the cageside judges.

While the NYAC has chosen a lot of familiar names, the list isn't without controversy. Sal D’Amato has a reputation for finding himself at the center of judging controversies. On the more competent side of the scale, Jeff Mullen is one of the oldest and most respected MMA judges in North America, so there's that.

There's no word yet on who exactly will ref the big women's featherweight fight between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie, a job that has requires a certain temperament when things get violent (as they tended to in fights involving elephant in the room Cris Cyborg). With the new division effectively playing the role of the female heavyweight division, I hope we don't get someone squeamish in there about letting the action go. Honestly, it's a bit frustrating having to worry about that kind of thing at all, but here we are.
