Former two-division champion, BJ Penn, will make his return to mixed martial arts (MMA) when he collides with featherweight sensation Yair Rodriguez at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 103 "Rodriguez vs. Penn” event on Sun., Jan. 15, 2017 inside Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.
Penn (16-10-2) hasn’t been seen since Frankie Edgar wrecked him in July 2014 and has just one win since 2009, so it’s understandable if some of the promotion’s newer fans are unfamiliar with “The Prodigy” or don’t understand why he was such a big deal roughly a decade ago.
