Former Strikeforce heavyweight power puncher, Brett Rogers, has been charged with with two counts of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of interfering with someone’s privacy, according to TwinCities.com.
“Da Grimm,” who is reportedly homeless after being found living in a church basement, allegedly groped a man at the library, grabbed another man’s ass in a public bathroom, then fondled a cellmate inside Ramsey County Jail.
His public defender had no comment, according to the report.
Rogers (17-10, 1 NC) was at one time one of the most feared heavyweights in all of mixed martial arts (MMA). After knocking out Andrei Arlovski in summer 2009, the former Sam’s Club mechanic dropped consecutive losses to Fedor Emelianenko and Alistair Overeem.
He would bounce around the regional and international fight circuit for the next several years, but couldn’t manage to keep himself out of legal trouble, jailed on felony domestic violence charges as recently as late 2015.
Stories like this rarely have a happy ending.
