Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor will make his return to pay-per-view (PPV) later this month, thanks to a sold out appearance inside EventCity Exhibition Centre in Manchester, England, on Sat., Jan. 28, 2017.
No, he’s not fighting.
Instead, “Notorious” will hold a one-hour (cough) “unscripted” interview with mixed martial arts (MMA) reporter Ariel Helwani, who is expected to challenge the Irishman on various topics (like this) in front of 5,000 curious fight fans.
If you didn’t get a chance to buy tickets for the sold-out appearance, don’t fret, as the tell-all (lolz) interview will be available by way of live PPV stream for just £3.99 (roughly $5) on www.notoriouslive.tv.
“This rare opportunity had to be captured on film considering Conor’s past interview history, and we decided to take it one step further and distribute it globally, meaning fans who are not able to attend the event don’t have to miss out,” Paradigm Sports UK Representative Rick Grogan told Manchester Evening News.
Then comes the afterparty!
An Experience With Conor McGregor’ will feature live music and a huge night of entertainment, with a purpose-built nightclub inside EventCity set to play host to the official event after party, allowing fans, celebrity attendees and VIP guests to party with the man himself.
There will be around 1,000 black tie VIP diners at the event, with several more thousand in tiered seating around the arena. Fans will VIP tickets also have the opportunity to meet McGregor.
It should be noted that Jan. 28 is also the night of UFC on FOX 23 in Denver, Colorado (fight card here), so even with the discrepancy in time zones, there will be some tough decisions to make later this month.
Assuming you haven't already committed to this.
