After Cody Garbrandt dethroned Dominick Cruz from the top of the Bantamweight mountain at UFC 207 last month (see it), he offered "The Dominator" an instant rematch, to which he declined.
That said, "No Love" is ready to take on anyone UFC throws at him. And while he wants to defend his title first, he is more than ready for other challenges, including taking on current Featherweight champion Jose Aldo and Lightweight king Conor McGregor
"Truthfully, anybody. I want to defend my title, there are some people in my weight class that I want to fight. TJ Dillashaw is someone I really want to fight," Cody told TMZ Sports.
"Jose Aldo, he’s a legend of the sport and it’s a great matchup stylistically. And then there is Conor. He is still out there, whenever he wants to come back. There are a lot of fights, but I want to defend my title and instill my dominance in my division. Then we’ll see what’s out thee, whether it’s Jose Aldo or Conor McGregor, or whoever," he added.
"Notorious" and "No Love" do have history.
And of course, if Cruz still doesn’t want it again, he will be more than happy to beatdown his training partner after their backstage scuffle.
"Even Jeremy Stephens, I will slap the shit out of him."
First things first, as Garbrandt will likely face the aforementioned Dillashaw in his first-ever title defense later this year. After that, anythings possible.
