Dana White responds to Floyd Mayweather's 'comedian' remark - 'We all know $25 million isn't peanuts and so does he'

And so it continues. The ongoing saga between Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight king Conor McGregor and legendary undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. gained even more steam earlier this week when UFC president Dana White offered both fighters $25 million to fight. It didn't take long for Mayweather to respond to White's offer and insist the mixed martial arts (MMA) promoter should take a run at comedy. White has since fired back at Mayweather, who is looking to bank roughly $100 million to fight "Notorious" inside of the boxing ring.

"First of all, Floyd thinks he's so much bigger than Conor. He's wrong," said White in a recent video submission to TMZ Sports (shown above). "Floyd has gone undefeated for 20 years and I give him all the credit in the world for doing that. Conor has been around for three or four years. For him to think that he's a much bigger star than Conor isn't true. I'm not going to pay him way more money than I'm going to pay my guy."

"We all know $25 million isn't peanuts and so does he," added White. "He's hanging his watch out the window, his watch is the problem. When you're wearing a watch that is $250,000 you're going to need $25 million real quick, pal. Hey, Floyd. Taxes are coming up, too, buddy. Gonna be all over you, pal."

While White does have a point considering most of us would swim through a pool of fire for just $1 million, Mayweather has grown accustom to the finer things in life. This includes making six figures whenever he steps inside of the ring. Even at his age and at this point in his career, anything less than that would surely keep "Money" on the shelf.
