Whats next for Amanda Nunes after 48-second KO of Ronda Rousey at UFC 207?

Amanda Nunes proved without a shadow of a doubt that she is the one and true champion of the women’s Bantamweight division, knocking out former longtime ruler Ronda Rousey in just 48 seconds in the headlining act of UFC 207.

Even better, her dominant win can’t, and will not ever be described as a fluke win, as she didn’t go out and clip Rousey with a one-hitter quitter, she systematically broke "Rowdy" down with precise striking, making the Judoka look like an amateur from the jump.

And she had a few choice words for her trainer, too.

With a humongous win under her belt, Nunes is well on her way to big things, as no one else can claim they defeated both Meisha Tate and the aforementioned Rousey in back-to-back fights and in a span of only six months.

What’s next for "Lioness" is a potential title defense against the winner of the upcoming bout between Julianna Pena and Valentina Shevchenko, which is set to headline UFC on FOX 23 in Jan. 28, 2016 in Denver, Colorado.

Nunes already holds a win over "Bullet," but a rematch would be rather interesting to see what kind of adjustments Valentina can make. The real money-maker, perhaps, would be a fresh fight against "The Venezuelan Vixen," who has been on a crusade to earn a shot at the strap for a while now.

While her next foe is still up in the air, what is certain for Nunes is that she will not be left out in cold, promotion wise, in her next outing, as defeating one of the biggest stars in the game today will bring her all of the spotlight she can handle.

Most seem ready for it when thy don’t have it, but it’s an entirely different thing when it’s in your face, seemingly 24/7.

Nevertheless, a star is solidified in Nunes, who looks to start a reign of terror in the women’s 135-pound division like the one Ronda had before her fall from grace.
