Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has its first bout scheduled for the upcoming UFC 205 pay-per-view (PPV) event, according to MMA Fighting, locked and loaded for Nov. 12, 2016 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Al Iaquinta vs. Thiago Alves.
Iaquinta (12-3-1) hasn't been seen since capturing a split decision win over Jorge Masvidal way back in April 2015. It was his fourth straight victory but knee surgery kept him sidelined for well over a year. "Raging Al" holds knockout wins over Joe Lauzon and Ross Pearson.
Speaking of knockouts...
Alves (21-10) will be making his lightweight debut after a lengthy mixed martial arts (MMA) career at 170 pounds. Like his UFC 205 opponent, the Brazilian has been sidelined since 2015 with injuries and has not competed since getting stopped by Carlos Condit at UFC Fight Night 67.
Fun fight.
No other bouts have been announced for UFC 205; however, you can expect that to change in the coming weeks, if not days.
