Two of the most-experienced Heavyweight fighters in all of mixed martial arts (MMA), Josh Barnett and Andrei Arlovski, put it all on the line in their back-and-forth affair at UFC Fight Night 93 in Hamburg, Germany.
Naturally, only one could prevail, which just so happened to be "The Warmaster" after he forced "The Pitbull" to tap to his rear-naked choke.
But, during his post-fight win, Barnett made sure to give Arlovski props, pulling him in during his speech to share a moment with his colleague.
"Andrei and I came here to give you guys a great fight. We did our absolute best, we tried to take each other out, we went to the finish everytime. I know we slowed down, but, even though he’s got abs, he’s still a heavyweight, too. Please give it up for Andrei Arlovski."
The loss was a crucial one for Arlovski, as it marked his third straight defeat inside the Octagon after reeling off four in a row. Nevertheless, he says he vows to return to the cage after taking some time off.
