Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titleholders Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett -- both on a quest to stay relevant among the next generation of mixed martial arts (MMA) stars -- will collide in the UFC Fight Pass main event during the promotion's trip to Hamburg, Germany, on Sat., Sept. 3, 2016.
That's just a few hours away.
Arlovski (25-12, 1 NC) returned to the Octagon in 2014 and quickly racked up four consecutive wins. In fact, "The Pitbull" was probably one marquee victory away from a title fight -- until consecutive losses to Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem sent him to the back of the line.
One more loss and it could be the chopping block ... again.
Unlike his Belarusian foe, Barnett (34-8) struggled to find consistency following his UFC call-back in 2013. "The Warmaster" is 3-2 during his second stint for the ZUFFA gang, recently getting submitted by Ben Rothwell at UFC on FOX 18 last January.
