UFC 204: Daniel Cormier’s ‘fat ass’ helped Dan Henderson earn middleweight title shot

Longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) slugger Dan Henderson, who captured gold in both PRIDE and Strikeforce, will attempt to add one more championship belt to his mantle when he collides with Michael Bisping at the UFC 204 pay-per-view (PPV) event next month in Manchester, England.

You can thank Daniel Cormier for that.

Or more specifically his “fat ass” (likely a result of this), as Henderson claims it was Cormier’s portly posterior that made him realize he was an undersized light heavyweight who was essentially reduced to a one-trick pony.

From MMA Fighting:

“Over the years, it's gotten harder to keep my body in the shape I need to. That's why I dropped back down to middleweight, because it's harder to go against the heavier guys. Having DC's fat ass on top of me really didn't help. When he was on top of me, I decided to go down to another weight class."

How about a Fat Ass vs Fat Arms super fight?

Henderson (32-14) was submitted by Cormier at UFC 173 back in 2014, then dropped back down to middleweight to put together a less-than-spectacular 2-2 run, one that inexplicably ended in a 185-pound title shot.

No, that’s not a “joke.”
