WSOF 35: Blagoy Ivanov to defend Heavyweight title in Everett on Dec. 3

World Series of Fighting

World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 35, which takes place at Xfinity Arena in Everett, Wash., on Dec. 3, 2016, will be an affair that tips the Heavyweight end of the scale. Blagoy Ivanov (14-1) will be in action that night, defending his WSOF Heavyweight title. All that remains to be decided is who will face him that night, and WSOF 33 on Oct. 7, 2016, should offer some clarity.

Promotional newcomers Shawn "The Savage" Jordan (18-7) and Ashley Gooch (10-4) are scheduled to make their Decagon debuts in Kansas City, Missouri. The winner could now gets more than bragging rights and a check -- he might just earn the right (if medically cleared) to challenge Ivanov.

That's not the only "big" action on the docket for Everett, though.

Another former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight, Jared "The Big Show" Rosholt (14-3), will make his Decagon debut against fellow newcomer Caio Alencar (9-1). Rosholt is known for his dominating wrestling skills -- sharpened at Oklahoma State University -- with half of his wins going to a decision and the other half going to a finish (three submissions, four knockouts). Alencar has only had one fight go to the judges. With four knockouts and five submissions on his resume, he'll look to add Rosholt to his list.

Future WSOF 33 fights will be announced at a later date.
