Newly-crowned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Michael Bisping will make his first-ever title defense -- all while trying to avenge his UFC 100 knockout loss -- when he collides with "washed up, decrepit" combat sports legend Dan Henderson.
A bout that is not without controversy.
Nevertheless, most fight fans (and fighters) are starting to choose sides. That includes rising middleweight contender Uriah Hall, who wants "Hendo" to drop another H-bomb on the brash Brit when the cage door closes at UFC 204 next month in Manchester.
This one sounds personal.
"I'm a big fan of Dan, I hope he knocks that dude out," Hall told the gang at UFC Unfiltered. "He needs to shut the fuck up. I've kicked Bisping's ass in training before, I can say that. You can quote me on that. If I ever get the opportunity, I'm definitely gonna kick his ass. I don't like him."
Hall was apparently miffed that Bisping was acting like an asshole the first time they met.
That comes as a surprise, because anyone familiar with mixed martial arts (MMA) will tell you that Bisping always acts like an asshole, so it wasn't exclusive to "Prime Time." It's also why so many fans (present company included) cheer for "The Count."
And why just as many don't.
Either way, a victory over Derek Brunson may not get him the next crack at the division crown, but it will definitely move Hall up the middleweight ladder. Depending on how well Bisping performs at UFC 204, it may just be a matter of time before these two collide.
Who takes it?
