Cleveland, Ohio -- the newly-crowned "City of Champions" -- will tonight (Sat., Sept. 10, 2016) play host to some exciting Octagon action as UFC 203 touches down inside Quicken Loans Arena for some live mixed martial arts (MMA) action on pay-per-view (PPV). Hometown hero and current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight king Stipe Miocic will defend his title opposite Alistair Overeem, while C.M. Punk will make his Octagon debut and Fabricio Werdum meets Travis Browne in an ultra-important divisional rematch.
But, before the UFC 203 PPV sets your cable box ablaze, a portion of the event's "Prelims" undercard will take place on Fight Pass starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. Find out what happened right here as the UFC 203 Fight Pass undercard recaps roll in real-time:
Yancy Medeiros vs. Sean Spencer
In the only Fight Pass bout of the evening and the first fight to ever take place in Quicken Loans Arena, Hawaiian brawler Medeiros (13-4) took a crack at the UFC welterweight division, challenging promotional veteran Spencer (12-6), who came into the 170-pound contest riding a two-fight losing streak. Medeiros wasted little time in utilizing his distance control and making Spencer return strikes early. Little damage was landed in Round 1 outside of Spencer's powerful right hand, but it set the tone for the remainder of the fight. After landing a huge kick to the head of Spencer and dropping him to the Octagon canvas to begin the second round, Medeiros jumped on Spencer and locked in a rear naked choke to earn the quick submission victory and reenter the UFC win column. Medeiros will try to ride his new found momentum at 170 pounds.
