Brother of former UFC champ Lyoto Machida joins Bellator MMA

Bellator 160 "Henderson vs. Pitbull" comes to Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. on Aug. 26, 2016. The main event will see former UFC Lightweight champion Benson Henderson face former Bellator Featherweight champion Patricio Freire in a No. 1 contender's match.

An intriguing addition has just completed the Bellator 160. MMA fans know the name Machida well thanks to former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, but now they'll get to know his older brother Chinzo for the first time.

Mario Navarro (4-4) will be the opponent for Chinzo Machida (3-2) in a featured Bellator "prelims" card bout at Featherweight. Machida is on a two-fight win streak with both wins taking place in Resurrection Fighting Alliance.

A cautionary note though -- that last win was over two years ago on June 6, 2014.

Navarro certainly won't make matters easy for the brother with the famous name. He's had three fights in Bellator MMA and was last seen at Bellator 116 in Temecula, but like his opponent he's also been out of action two years.
