Nick Diaz drugged? 'Strange' substance from Georges St-Pierre's nurse caused irrepressible urination

When Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Nick Diaz told the mixed martial arts (MMA) community he was "drugged" before his UFC 158 title fight against Georges St-Pierre, I thought to myself, "tell us something we don't already know."

Because of this.

Turns out he wasn't self medicating, but rather accepting strange substances from someone claiming to be St-Pierre's nurse, because if there is one thing we've learned in this industry, it's that accepting nondescript drugs from people you hardly know never ends in disaster.

Former boxing coach Richard Perez talks to Submission Radio:

"Yeah, I remember that. Yeah I was there and it was Georges St-Pierre's nurse or something, came down and he wanted to give Nick some kind of stuff. And I told Nick not to do it, but he gave it to him. So that's what he's talking about. I don't know what it was. I'm not saying that it was a drug or anything, but I just know that he looked different (in the fight). He said he worked with Georges St-Pierre. He was up all night urinating. I mean he wasn't feeling good because he was going to the bathroom a lot. I mean, I don't know what it did, but I know he was going to the bathroom a lot, so it probably dehydrated him and drained him. I don't know, but I just know I was sitting there and the guy wanted to give him something. I don't know what it was for. I told him no, but he said it wouldn't even hurt him. It was strange."

Strange days indeed.

Diaz lost to St-Pierre by way of unanimous decision, then went on to accuse the now-former champ of using steroids. He also demanded a rematch (sans loopholes) but that fight never came to be, as "Rush" hung up his gloves in late 2013 and Diaz was suspended for drug use.

Can't blame the dorks nurse for that one.
