Rising Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight prospect Yair Rodriguez attempted to cash in on his first main event bid earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 6, 2016) opposite Alex Caceres at UFC Fight Night 92 live from Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. But before the marquee matchup unfolded, the rest of the card delivered on arrival.
Former TUF standout David Teymur looked to capture his second-straight Octagon win when he met fellow Lightweight Jason Novelli. After a competitive first round, Teymur came out of the gate in Round 2 and blasted Novelli with a crushing left hand. The Swede then followed that up with a four-punch combination to earn the technical knockout win.

With this victory, Teymur continues to make a name for himself following a losing stint on The Ultimate Fighter. At just 27 years of age, the international knockout artist may be ready to take his game to the next level. He even called out Sage Northcutt in the post-fight interview.
