Rising Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight prospect Yair Rodriguez attempted to cash in on his first main event bid earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 6, 2016) opposite Alex Caceres at UFC Fight Night 92 live from Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. But before the marquee matchup unfolded, the rest of the card delivered on arrival.
In another 145-pound matchup, young knockout artist Teruto Ishihara locked horns with an unknown Horacio Gutierrez. After brief back-and-forth exchanges, Ishihara absolutely leveled Gutierrez with a left counter that sent the 25-year-old to the canvas. Ishihara added another powerful strike for good measure as he walks away with the first-round technical knockout win.
