Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) goes retro in Hamburg, Germany, this Saturday afternoon (Sept. 3, 2016) as former Heavyweight champions Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett square off in the main event of UFC Fight Night 93, live from Barclaycard Arena and streaming online via UFC Fight Pass.

Former Light Heavyweight title challenger, Alexander Gustafsson, will also be in action, returning from an 11-month absence against Jan Blachowicz, while his training partner, Ilir Latifi, will attempt to continue his unexpected 205-pound rise against perennial division contender, Ryan Bader.

It’s all "free" with a subscription to the promotion's digital subscription network, so let’s see what kind of gambling opportunities $9.99 a month will get you.

UFC Fight Night 93 Odds For The Undercard:

Jim Wallhead (-120) vs. Jessin Ayari (EVEN)
Nicolas Dalby (-120) vs. Peter Sobotta (EVEN)
Ashlee Evans-Smith (-250) vs. Veronica Macedo (+210)
Taylor Lapilus (-150) vs. Leandro Issa (+130)
Christian Colombo (-110) vs. Jarjis Danho (-110)
Scott Askham (-120) vs. Jack Hermansson (EVEN)
Rustam Khabilov (-400) vs. Leandro Silva (+325)

Thoughts: Once again, several fighters making their Octagon debuts and the fights that don’t include said debutants are generally too close to call. Still, I think you can scrape some value out of Ashlee Evans-Smith and Rustam Khabilov.

Macedo looks like she has some decent striking and grappling, but she’s been fighting professionally for less than four months. That is nowhere near enough time to handle a UFC-caliber Bantamweight, especially not on short notice. Further, her porous takedown defense presents a tempting target for the wrestling-savvy Evans-Smith and she’ll give up a staggering five inches of height. This one’s all Evans-Smith, so be sure to invest in her.

Leandro Silva is a fairly strong wrestler and grappler with some power, but he’s fairly inactive on the feet and doesn’t have much to offer from his back. Khabilov, meanwhile, is a stellar takedown artist whose overall boxing technique is superior to the Brazilian’s. Though the Dagestani has had some mental hiccups before, he’s durable enough and far enough ahead in terms of skills to be a safe investment.

UFC Fight Night 93 Odds For The Main Card:

Josh Barnett (-150) vs. Andrei Arlovski (+130)
Alexander Gustafsson (-750) vs. Jan Blachowicz (+525)
Ryan Bader (-220) vs. Ilir Latifi (+180)
Nick Hein (-230) vs. Tae Hyun Bang (+190)

Thoughts: Ilir Latifi is staggeringly undervalued here. Sure, the Swede hasn’t beaten anyone of real note, but he packs staggering power and physical strength into that squat frame. Though Bader’s improved his striking quite a bit, he’s never been great at taking a shot and I believe "The Sledgehammer’s" own wrestling is up to the task of shutting down Bader’s takedowns. Add that to the fact that Bader got obliterated in humiliating fashion last time out and you have the recipe for an upset. I also think Arlovski -- who has some of the best takedown defense in the division -- may be worth a look against Barnett, but I know better than to bet on any fight involving "The Pitbull" in this day and age.

UFC Fight Night 93 Best Bets:

  • Parlay -- Ashlee Evans-Smith and Rustam Khabilov: Bet $80 to make $60.15
  • Single bet -- Ilir Latifi: Bet $50 to make $90

Not the worst afternoon of fights and the powers-that-be scheduled it so it wouldn’t interfere with your regularly-scheduled Saturday night binge drinking. Works for me! See you there, Maniacs.
