Before former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight title challenger Carlos Condit looks to rebound later tonight (Sat., Aug. 27, 2016) against crafty submission specialist Demian Maia, and former UFC Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis tries to impress in his Featherweight debut opposite Charles Oliveira, at UFC on FOX 21 live from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, a portion of the event's "Prelims" undercard will take place on Fight Pass starting at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Find out what happened right here as the Fight Pass preliminary recaps roll in live:
Chad Laprise vs Thibault Gouti
Former TUF winner Laprise attempted to shake off back-to-back Octagon loses when he met French prospect Gouti in the Fight Pass Lightweight headliner. Laprise (11-2) wasted no time in attacking Gouti (11-3) and making him throw fists. As Gouti rushed in to hit the Canadian with a forward combination, Laprise stepped back and landed a vicious right hand that dropped "GT" like he was Fabricio Werdum going down against Stipe Miocic. Laprise jumped on Gouti and landed a few extra shots before forcing the referee's hand. The man known as "Disciple" earned the first-round finish and will now move back to 170 pounds. At just 30 years of age, Laprise could offer more around the corner as he evolves at Tristar.

Jeremy Kennedy vs Alessandro Ricci
Fighting in front of their home crowd, 34-year-old Canadian Lightweight Alessandro Ricci looked to ward off undefeated prospect and fellow countryman Jeremy Kennedy in his Octagon debut. Ricci (10-4) may have filled in on short notice to take on the 23-year-old Kennedy (9-0), but the veteran hung in tough against "Junior Bacon Cheeseburger" and his dirty boxing. Whenever Ricci was able to create space he landed vicious front kicks and body shots to Kennedy. Kennedy responded with solid jabs and strong offense in the clinch, which can be attributed to the year he recently spent training in Thailand. He controlled the majority of the fight with pressure along the cage and powerful combinations in the pocket, mixing in a takedown here and there. Kennedy did what he needed to in defeating Ricci via unanimous decision to capture his first UFC win.
Damage against the fence for @JeremyKennedyWC! #UFCVancouver https://t.co/3najt3RanF
