Don't you ... forget about Nate.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) somethingweight Nate Diaz is sitting home all by his lonesome in Stockton, Calif., waiting for promotion president Dana White and now former CEO Lorenzo Fertitta to drop by so they can gauge his interest in a Conor McGregor rubber match.
"I'm still waiting for Dana [White] and Lorenzo [Fertitta] to show up to my house to see how obsessed I am," Diaz told MMA Fighting.
That "obsessed" comment was a dig at the promotion's urgency to visit McGregor after the "Notorious" featherweight champion was submitted at UFC 196 back in March (more on that here). But that should not come as a surprise, since the "C" in UFC stands for Conor.
So says this guy.
Diaz dropped a majority decision to McGregor at the UFC 202 pay-per-view (PPV) event earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nevada, evening the score at one apiece. While the Stockton slugger doesn't want to compete unless it's a trilogy, White and Co. appear to have moved on.
For now.
