Nick Diaz denied UFC 202 weigh-in entry, still not allowed to corner Nate Diaz against Conor McGregor

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Diaz was denied entry to the UFC 202 weigh ins yesterday (Fri. Aug., 19, 2016) on the heels of the recent ban MGM levied on the entire Diaz and Conor McGregor entourages following the now-infamous water-bottle throwing incident during a recent press conference. To compound things, it is being reported by FOX Sports that big brother Nick won’t be able to corner Nate Diaz during his upcoming rematch against McGregor, which is set to headline tonight’s (Sat. Aug., 20, 2016) UFC 202 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

All a part of his punishment for not forking up the coin to settle his financial settlement with Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) stemming for his suspension — which is now up -- earlier this year. Nick was suspended by the NSAC for 18 months and fined $100,000 because of a failed drug test. However, Diaz still has an outstanding balance of $75,000, which is the reason he can't obtain a license to corner.

Since the T-Mobile Arena is an MGM property, it isn’t quite known if Nick will even be allowed to watch the fight live from inside the arena. Plus, he might also have to deal with a possible fine and a pending lawsuit following the press conference fiasco.

Keep it tuned to MMAmania to see if anything changes regarding Nick’s status as fight time draws nearer.
