Nick Diaz sends video message to Conor McGregor: ‘Bro, why are you hitting kids with bottles?'

As Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White was scrambling from the podium shouting, "Conor, Conor, don't throw those fucking bottles, CONOR!" he was probably very concerned about collateral damage and possible injuries among the fans and media members in attendance at today's final pre-fight press conference to promote UFC 202.

And while the wild bottle- and can-throwing exchange was essentially short-circuited by security staff inside David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, it appears that a younger member of Nate Diaz's entourage was an innocent bystander. It doesn't appear that the child -- if indeed her account is legitimate -- suffered any serious injuries, which is a good thing for both camps. That's because Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) intends to discuss the incident at an upcoming hearing, according to ESPN reporter Brett Okamoto.

Remember, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier were punished for their impromptu brawl, receiving significant fines and ordered to perform community service. Today's incident was not seemingly on the same serious level, but it was unfortunate nonetheless. It's unclear if the commissioners will buy the "self defense" angle, either.

McGregor and Diaz will settle their score this weekend (Sat., Aug. 20, 2016) inside T-Mobile Arena with their fists, which is apparently a much more controllable atmosphere than a UFC press conference these days.
