It's (almost) time!
Ultimate Fighting Championship will stage its most anticipated pay-per-view (PPV) event of the year, UFC 202, this Saturday night (Aug. 20, 2016) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring the must-see Welterweight rematch between Featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, against Nate Diaz. Four months ago, Diaz stepped up on short notice to submit McGregor in round two at UFC 196. It was an incredible come-from-behind victory that has not sat well with "Notorious."
Indeed, McGregor wants revenge, badly, and has vowed to win their 170-pound rematch this weekend at all costs. However, he is the smaller man, packing on 20 pounds to fight a man who holds a significant height and reach advantage. And while he did have early success in their first encounter, McGregor soon realized Diaz has endurance for days and is very, very hard to finish. He has put a renewed emphasis on cardio this $300,00 camp, but Diaz has been doing his thing for weeks and months this time around, not just a handful of days.
Like it always does, time will ultimately tell the tale. Meanwhile, Let's take a look at all the stats and numbers that went into UFC 202 with this "By the Numbers" video preview.
