UFC 202 video: Nate Diaz discusses his early fighting years on 'The Exchange'

While Nate Diaz may have already won the biggest fight he's ever going to have when he submitted Conor McGregor at UFC 196 via second-round rear naked choke, defeating the Irish superstar once again at UFC 202 on Aug. 20 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, wouldn't hurt.

Since his destruction of "Notorious" back in March, Diaz has experienced a massive boost in mainstream popularity. The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight title contender has never been at the forefront of the promotion like he is today. After 10 years of Octagon action, Diaz is finally receiving the recognition he deserves.

In the above video (courtesy of UFC), Diaz's sits down with Megan Olivi to discuss his early fighting years in mixed martial arts (MMA). Way before the Stockton striker was slapping chokes heard around the world, he was competing on the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter and finishing the likes of Marcus Davis, Kurt Pellegrino, Alvin Robinson and Melvin Guillard.

It's safe to say Diaz is finally cashing in on his potential. If he can defeat McGregor once again at UFC 202, there's no telling how big his UFC stick will grow.
