Let the free fights roll in!
In preparation for UFC 202 on Aug. 20 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has begun to open up its vault and release some classic footage. This time around, the promotion is pulling back the curtain and letting Glover Teixeira run loose all over your computer screen.
The above full fight video (courtesy of UFC) shows Teixeira defeating rising contender Ovince Saint Preux at UFC Fight Night 73 via third-round submission. While Saint Preux managed to land some heavy shots on the Brazilian in the opening two rounds, Teixeira was able to take OSP down and make him tap with a nasty rear naked choke. The finish sparked a three-fight win streak for Teixeira, which includes a quick knockout of Rashad Evans at UFC on FOX 19.
Scheduled to meet Anthony Johnson at UFC 202 in a No. 1 contender's bout at 205 pounds, Teixeira will have another opportunity to lock down a title shot after losing his first UFC championship bid to Jon Jones back at UFC 172.
UFC 202 will be headlined by a grudge match between Featherweight king Conor McGregor and resurgent Lightweight Nate Diaz.
