Highlights! Watch Gegard Mousasi knockout Thiago Santos at UFC 200

With the spotlight shining brightest tonight (Sat., July 9, 2016) at UFC 200 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight title contender Gegard Mousasi did not disappoint.

In fact, Mousasi came out of the gate a little quicker than normal against Thiago Santos. He pressured the Brazilian against the cage, landed some vicious shots, dropped Santos and proceeded to score points in top position. When Santos began to get back to his feet, Mousasi launched a devastating right-handed uppercut that sent the Middleweight to the ground for good.

With the first-round finish, Mousasi continues to rise among hopeful 185-pound title contenders. He has won four out of his last five Octagon appearances. If he can keep up his aggressive style, UFC matchmakers will have no option but to give him top-level opponents to cap off 2016.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 200 fight card, starting with the Fight Pass "Prelims" matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, and then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.
