As if Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) didn't have enough on its plate with back-to-back-to-back events this weekend, as well as a three-day "Fan Expo" -- not to mention another last-minute Jon Jones-fueled fiasco (full details here) -- the world's leading mixed martial arts (MMA) league will today (Weds., July 7, 2016) stage a press conference to promote UFC 202.
You didn't really think Conor McGregor would be left out of this weekend's historic festivities, did you? Even though "Notorious" sparked a "civil war" when he was booted from UFC 200's main event, the fiery Irishman will hijack the dais inside the David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, this afternoon to promote his upcoming Welterweight rematch with Nate Diaz. And you can bet he'll have quite a bit more to say about UFC's decision to replace him with the unreliable "Bones" in the historic pay-per-view (PPV) headlining act this Saturday night.
The pre-fight press conference for UFC 202, which takes place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Aug. 20, 2016, will stream LIVE in the video player above, starting at 2:30 p.m. ET
Diaz, McGregor and company president Dana White are the only participants scheduled for today's press event. UFC 202, however, will also feature several other intriguing match ups, including Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixeira, Donald Cerrone vs. Rick Story, Carlos Condit vs. Demian Maia and much more.
