Knockout! Watch Tyron Woodley's title-winning finish of Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 last night

UFC 201 unfolded last night (Sat., July 30, 2016) live on pay-per-view (PPV) from Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga., featuring the highly-anticipated Welterweight clash between champion Robbie Lawler and teammate Tyron Woodley. It was Lawler's third attempt to defend Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) gold and Woodley's first fight since Jan. 2015.

In epic fashion, Woodley dropped an absolute bomb of a right hand to the chin of Lawler in the first round that sent the champion to the canvas. Just for good measure, "Chosen One" added some solid strikes on a downed Lawler in order to seal the knockout victory. Woodley claims his first world title and hands "Ruthless" just his second knockout loss of his storied career.

The full video highlights can be seen above (courtesy of UFC on FOX).

As the new champion of the 170-pound division, Woodley will have to fend off the likes of Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia, Carlos Condit and even Lawler once he gets back in the saddle. With some of the quickest movements in the weight class today, Woodley is going to be a hard guy to dethrone.
