Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) isn't wasting any time in the hearing for ex-Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who was pulled from the UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in Las Vegas after failing a pre-fight drug test.
More on that fiasco here.
The Nevada Athletic Commission will hold a "hearing on extension of temporary suspension" for Jon Jones at its Mon. July 18 meeting.

Jones could be looking at a possible two-year suspension, now that his B-sample also returned positive for the unnamed substance. "Bones," in a tear-filled speech, insists he did not take any performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) with the intent to cheat.
Is his absence, the promotion inserted Anderson Silva into a non-title fight against Daniel Cormier, which ended poorly for "The Spider." No telling what the future holds for "DC" -- but we'll soon know what lies ahead for his nemesis and former pound-for-pound great.
