Jacare Souza to UFC: Honor Dan Henderson by putting him in Hall of Fame, not by stealing my title shot

Jason Silva-USA TODAY Sports

After Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White announced that Dan Henderson would indeed get first crack at Michael Bisping's Middleweight strap; plenty of 185-pound hearts were broken.

None more than Ronaldo Souza's though, as he took to Twitter to express his frustration toward the promotion's decision to grant "Hendo" the championship fight instead of him.

Check it out:

Translation: "If the UFC wants to honor Dan Henderson then puts him in the UFC Hall of Fame , do not steal what I won !!!"

It was widely believed "Jacare" would be first in line in the title hunt following his first-round victory over Vitor Belfort at UFC 198 (see it again here).

But when 'The Count" flipped the script and dethroned Luke Rockhold a few weeks later at UFC 199 (video here) -- the same night Henderson knocked out Hector Lombard -- the championship landscape at 185 pounds changed drastically.

That's because Bisping was adamant he wanted to get some much-desired revenge against the man who knocked him out cold at UFC 100 seven years ago before the aging legend decides to call it quits.

Even if it did come at the expense of other worthy challengers losing out on their championship dreams.
