Breaking news: Michael Bisping vs Dan Henderson 2 official, possibly in Manchester

It's official!

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion Michael Bisping will get his wish to avenge his UFC 100 loss to Dan Henderson after all, according to UFC president Dana White during UFC 200's post-fight show on FOX Sports 1.

While not date or venue has been chosen, White did mention that the rematch will most likely go down in Manchester, England, later this year. Even though there are more deserving championship contenders, Henderson, 45, flattened "The Count" back in 2009 with one of the most epic one-punch finishes inside the Octagon ever.

It's clearly a loss Bisping wants to avenge before "Hendo" retires from the sport, and White and Co. were more than willing to oblige. Henderson is coming off a scintillating knockout finish over Hector Lombard at UFC 199 and has stated that he has one fight left in the tank before calling it a career.

It's apparently now or never.

Bisping, meanwhile, captured the 185-pound title at UFC 199 with a first-round knockout of Luke Rockhold after filling in for Chris Weidman on just two weeks notice. Henderson is essentially leap-frogging deserving title contenders like Rockhold, Weidman, Ronaldo Souza and a returning Yoel Romero. But, he will have the chance to cap off an all-time great career with a UFC title win.
