Josh Koscheck bounced from Bellator 158, Paul Daley now fights Douglas Lima

Jason da Silva-USA TODAY Sports

Bellator 158 is scheduled for the O2 Arena in London, England, on July 16, 2016. The sudden and shocking passing of Kimbo Slice has radically altered this card, as Slice was expected to headline in a rematch with James "The Colossus" Thompson.

More changes to Bellator 158 are developing, according to MMA Junkie, as the original co-main event rematch of Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley has been postponed a second time, as "Kos" has withdrawn due to an undisclosed injury.

While Thompson is still in search of a new opponent (if one is available), Bellator has called upon former welterweight champion Douglas "The Phenom" Lima to step in for Koscheck, creating a new co-main event of Daley vs. Lima.

Lima was originally set to fight with Chidi "Bang Bang" Njokuani at Bellator 156 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., on June 17. At press time, the status of that fight and whether or not Njokuani would face a replacement is unclear.

Daley (38-13-2) is on a five-fight win streak including knockouts at Bellator 140 and Bellator 148, and on both occasions he called out Koscheck after his victory. Lima (26-6) was last seen losing the title to Andrey Koreshkov last summer.
