How did Michael Bisping do in his short-notice title fight with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold last night (Sat., June 4, 2016) at UFC 199 live on pay-per-view from The Forum in Inglewood, California?
He did exactly what he sought out to do and captured his first UFC title with a first-round knockout over Rockhold, who failed to defend his belt for the first time after winning it from Chris Weidman back at UFC 194.
While Rockhold looked in shape and ready to eliminate Bisping for a second time, Bisping kept his composure in close quarters, timed a perfect left hook, chased the champion down, hit him with another left hook, and viciously finished him against the cage.
The full video highlights can be seen above.
Bisping's victory certainly goes down as one of the bigger upsets in divisional history. He will most likely defend his title opposite Weidman later this year at UFC 205 in New York City.
