The trilogy is over!
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz retained his 135-pound title opposite Urijah Faber last night (Sat., June 4, 2016) at UFC 199 live on pay-per-view from The Forum in Inglewood, California
In classic form, "The Dominator" outpaced and outpointed Faber for the majority of five rounds, earning his second unanimous decision victory of the three-fight series. He hurt Faber a couple times throughout the fight and even sent him to the canvas on one of them.
The full video highlights of the action can be seen above.
As game as Faber was, he simply couldn't keep up with the champion as a 37-year-old veteran who is now 0-4 in UFC title fights. His survival instincts rung true, but "The California Kid" couldn't find his own openings as Cruz wiggled and weaved around the Octagon.
