UFC 199 video highlights: Watch Beneil Dariush knockout James Vick

Before Luke Rockhold and Dominick Cruz defend their titles against long-time rivals Michael Bisping and Urijah Faber later tonight (Sat., June 4, 2016) at UFC 199 live on pay-per-view from The Forum in Inglewood, California, FOX Sports 1 played host to some fairly interesting preliminary matchups.

One of the most memorable contests was a Lightweight tilt between Beneil Dariush and James Vick, who came into the fight undefeated at 9-0.

Unfortunately for "The Texecutioner," he didn't last long as Dariush unloaded everything he had for the majority of the first round. After knocking Vick to the ground, landing blistering elbows, and overwhelming him with pressure and pain, Dariush earned the first-round knockout.

The brutal highlights can be seen above courtesy of UFC.

This victory will certainly keep Dariush in the running for meaningful bouts within the top 10 moving forward. As for Vick, he should evolve after this defeat and continue his evolution in the UFC.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 199 fight card on fight night, starting with the Fight Pass "Prelims" matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET, and then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.
