Michael Bisping is entering the biggest fight of his career later tonight (Sat., June 4, 2016) opposite current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Remember, Bisping is filling in on just a few weeks notice for an injured Chris Weidman. He will attempt to defeat a man he lost to nearly two years ago at UFC Fight Night 55 via second-round one-armed guillotine. To say the odds are stacked against "The Count" is an understatement, especially when his own kids are picking Rockhold to win.
"Can I just say for the record he also said I was going to lose the Anderson Silva fight," said Bisping after listening to a video of his kids picking Rockhold in a recent appearance on FOX Sports 1. "Ignore him completely. That's Lucas, he's a little (expletive). I love him dearly, but he's a little (expletive). He doesn't listen to a word I say, he winds me up. He is just like me, he's a little (expletive) and I'm terrified. The future scares me with this guy. He could be found dead in a dumpster."
While Bisping was clearly joking and having some fun at the expense of his son, it just goes to show you that the veteran is even catching flack at home leading into his fill-in fight with Rockhold. With the odds against him, he must prove everyone wrong, even his own flesh and blood, in order to capture his first world title.
