World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 31 "Ivanov vs. Copeland" came to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. on June 17, 2016. The main event was a heavyweight title defense for Blagoy Ivanov vs. Josh "Cuddly Bear" Copeland.
Copeland came into the evening having won three of his last four fights -- his sole loss coming to former Bellator champion Vitaly Minakov fighting him on his home turf in Russia.
The loss if anything prepared Copeland for a WSOF title fight based on what he felt he was able to achieve.
Meanwhile Ivanov came into the main event looking to make his second successful title defense. Few WSOF champions had been able to achieve that goal, but Ivanov had already faced and beaten a bigger foe -- the grim reaper.
Now at last for those who missed this epic fight, which ran head to head with Bellator 156 on the same night, you can watch as Copeland and Ivanov go the full five rounds in an all out war.
