Miesha Tate will attempt to defend her Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's Bantamweight title for the first time against Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 on July 9, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Going into the final round, Holm was in control of the fight, as many had her winning the five-round title fight on the scorecards. Short of getting stopped, Holly was on her way to her first-ever successful title defense.
Tate, though was not going to be denied.
After taking the bout to the ground, Miesha locked in an air-tight rear-naked choke which forced the referee stoppage, though the "gangster" champion didn't tap. Now, Tate looks to be the first women ever not named Ronda Rousey to defend the 135-pound strap.
