Unfortunately for you ski slope enthusiasts of the world, Salt Lake City, Utah, will be overran with seething mixed martial arts (MMA) fans on Aug. 6 when Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) touches down for UFC Fight Night 92 live on FOX Sports 1 from the Vivint Smart Home Arena.
In order to keep up with the Featherweight-driven fight card, resurgent Dennis Bermudez will meet former TUF: Brazil winner Rony Jason as part of the main card. The Featherweight scrap joins other divisional matchups such as a main event meeting between rising contender Yair Rodriguez and Alex Caceres, as well as Cub Swanson's tilt with veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri.
Bermudez, 29, is coming off a win over the aforementioned Kawajiri at UFC Fight Night 83. As one of the premier athletes in the division, "The Menace" will try to continue his winning ways after losing crucial contests to Ricardo Lamas and Jeremy Stephens from 2014-2015.
Jason, 32, hasn't captured victory inside of the Octagon since defeating Steven Siler via first-round TKO back at UFC Fight Night 38. With some of the best finishing ability at 145 pounds, the Brazilian will look to get back on track and build off of a fairly high-profile name like Bermudez.
For what it's worth, UFC Fight Night 92 will be the first time in Jason's 10-year career that he'll be competing outside of Brazil.
