Newly-minted Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, will attempt to make his first-ever title defense at the expense of Alistair Overeem at the UFC 203 pay-per-view (PPV) inside Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sept. 10, 2016.
Their titanic tilt will mark the mixed martial arts (MMA) league's first visit to "C-Town," the same city that Miocic (15-2) calls home and gave him a "hero's welcome" when he returned from slaying Fabricio Werdum at UFC 198 a few weeks back to win the strap.
Overeem (41-14, 1 NC), meanwhile, made his title contender case with his huge knockout win over Andrei Arlovski in the main event of UFC Fight Night 87 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, just last month. It marked the fourth straight win for the No. 3-ranked contender, including a finish of former division champion Junior dos Santos late last year.

Also throwing hands at UFC 203 will be heavyweight title hunters Ben Rothwell and Fabricio Werdum, both coming off disappointing losses their last time out. In addition, Jessica Eye and Bethe Correia will hook 'em up for women's bantamweight bragging rights.
Fun!
