UFC 197 drug test results released for 'Jones vs Saint Preux'

Joshua Dahl-USA TODAY Sports

All fighters drug tested before and after the "Jones vs. St-Preux" pay-per-view (PPV) event -- which went down on April 23, 2016 Las Vegas, Nevada -- returned negative results following their mixed martial arts (MMA) contests in "Sin City."

That's according to the tag team of Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) and United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). The former drug tested half of the combatants from UFC 197, while the latter targeted the other half, including headliners Jon Jones and Ovince Saint Preux.

MMA Fighting brought word of the results earlier today (June 21, 2016) thanks to information gathered by the NSAC and UFC vice president of athlete health and performance, Jeff Novitzky.

UFC 197 saw the return of former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, as he claimed the interim division strap by defeating "OSP" via unanimous decision (highlights). In the co-main event of the evening, Demetrious Johnson defended his flyweight title -- yet again -- by knocking out Henry Cejudo in the very first round (see it).
